In a shared mailbox, a signature raises a question other tools dodge: who is signing? The person writing, or the company? Trupeo answers both, and stacks the two blocks.
Two signatures, not one
Yours lives in “Account settings”, “Profile” tab. Your name, your role, your direct line. Everyone has their own, and nobody else can edit it.
The mailbox’s lives in the mailbox settings, “General” tab, under “Shared mailbox signature”. The company, the address, the main number, the legal line. It is the same for everybody and only the mailbox owner can change it.
At the bottom of a mail, yours comes first and the mailbox one right below.
You can fill in only one. A mailbox shared by three people who all sign “The team” needs nothing but the common block. The other way round, somebody working alone can put everything in their personal signature and leave the shared block empty.
The editor
Bold, italic, underline, link, colour, text size. The image button inserts a logo: pick the file and Trupeo hosts it, so your recipients see it without having to allow remote images.
An “HTML” button switches to the source. If your signature comes from another tool, that is where to paste it: pasting straight into the editor usually loses the formatting.
What you see while writing
Under the reply editor, Trupeo shows “Your signature will be added:” followed by the rendering.
It is a preview, not an input. The signature is not inserted into your text; it is added at send time. Two useful consequences:
- You cannot wipe it by accident with a select-all.
- You cannot tweak it for one particular mail either. To change something you go through the settings, and it will apply to the mails that follow.
The “Sent with Trupeo” line
During the trial, a small “Sent with Trupeo” line appears under your signatures. Its toggle is in the “General” tab, under “Trupeo footer”, greyed out until you subscribe.
Once the subscription is active you can turn it off. See Trial, subscription, and reduced pricing.
