Everything is in “Account settings”, “Security” tab. These settings are personal: they cover your access to Trupeo, not the shared mailbox and not your teammates.
The password
Changing your password signs out your other sessions. That is deliberate, and it is the thing to do if you think somebody got into your account: one action takes every device back.
If you signed up with Google or Microsoft you have no password and you are not required to make one. The section then offers “Create a password”, which adds a second way in, by email, without removing the first.
Signed-in devices
“Active sessions” lists the devices signed in to your account. Yours is marked “This device”.
“Sign out” ends a session. Useful for a hotel computer, an old phone, a borrowed tablet. That person will have to sign in again and loses nothing.
A session lasts a long time on purpose: a shared mailbox you check from your phone several times a day should not ask for a password every time. Which is exactly why this list exists.
Deleting your account
This is permanent and irreversible. Trupeo asks you to type DELETE in
full before continuing, precisely because there is no undo.
When Trupeo refuses
If you are the only owner of one or more shared mailboxes, deletion is blocked and Trupeo lists them.
The reason is simple: your leaving would strand mailboxes with nobody to manage billing, invite anyone, or reconnect an address that stopped working. Your colleagues would keep access to the mail with no way to administer any of it.
Two ways to unblock it:
- Transfer ownership to another member, in the mailbox settings, “Members” tab.
- Delete those mailboxes if nobody needs them any more.
After that, deleting the account goes through.
What it erases
Your account, and your access to the shared mailboxes. The mailboxes themselves, and the mail in them, belong to the team and stay where they are.
