Which one fits you?
Choose Trupeo if
- A small team where answering mail is part of everyone's job, not a support desk.
- You want a flat price that does not move when someone joins.
- Your addresses are spread across providers, including a small host on IMAP.
- You need assignments, notes and reply visibility without ticket numbers.
Choose Hiver if
- Support is a dedicated function with enough volume to justify SLAs and reporting.
- Your customers expect a ticket reference and a portal.
- Staying inside the Gmail interface is the top priority for adoption.
- You want AI agents triaging and resolving requests.
Hiver is a support platform, and a capable one, priced for a team whose job is support. Trupeo is a shared inbox for a small team that just needs to know who owns which message, at a price that does not grow with the team.
Overview
Hiver sells two editions, as observed on its pricing page in August 2026. Hiver in Gmail runs inside the Gmail interface, for teams managing email support without leaving it, and asks for a Google Workspace or Gmail account. Hiver Omni is a standalone omnichannel platform for teams that want a dedicated interface rather than an inbox extension. Both carry the same price.
Either way, what you are buying is a support platform: ticketing, automations, analytics, AI agents, and from the Pro tier a customer portal, SLAs and CSAT surveys. For a team whose job is customer support, that is a coherent offer and the AI tooling is genuinely ahead of what a simple shared inbox provides.
Trupeo is deliberately smaller. It connects to Gmail, Google Workspace, Outlook, Microsoft 365 or any IMAP provider, and adds one owner per conversation, an open or done status, internal notes and tags. No ticket numbers, no portal, no SLA reporting. That is the right shape for a workshop, a school office, an association or a five-person firm, and the wrong shape for a support department.
Pricing
Hiver’s plans, both editions, are Growth at $25 per user per month, Pro at $55 and Elite at $85, billed annually as observed in August 2026, with a 7-day free trial. For five people on Growth, that is about $125 a month, and it rises every time someone joins. A Voice add-on is offered at $30 per voice seat per month.
Trupeo costs 10 EUR per month excl. VAT per mailbox for one or two people and 20 EUR from three, whatever the number of people after that. The gap is not really about the price of software: it is about which shape fits. Five people on Hiver Growth get AI agents, automations and analytics they may or may not use. Five people on Trupeo get a shared inbox and a bill that stops moving.
