How much does email cost your team?

Three fields estimate what the mailbox costs your team every year. Everything runs in your browser: nothing is sent, nothing to install.

Everyone who reads or replies, even occasionally.

Reading, replying, triaging, searching the mailbox.

Gross salary plus employer charges, divided by hours worked. 28 € is a common small-business baseline.

The result for your team

0 €per year

That is about 0 eight-hour days spent inside the mailbox.

Part of that time is real work: answering customers. The waste hides in the rest: re-reading messages someone already read, wondering who replied, digging through the Sent folder.

How this number is calculated

People × hours per week × 45 working weeks per year × hourly cost. We count 45 weeks to account for vacations and public holidays. It is a deliberately simple estimate: it counts neither the cost of interruptions nor the cost of missed emails.

Benchmarks to situate your team

According to the reference study of the Observatoire de l'Infobésité et de la Collaboration Numérique, built on the real usage of about 30,000 employees, an employee handles 169 emails per week on average, and an executive 384. Microsoft's Work Trend Index measures that 57% of working time goes to communication (meetings, email, chat).
